Phong Nha-Tuan Garden House

The care and kindness from the whole family made this our favorite place to stay in Vietnam. I picked this homestay based on the reviews, and they really were true. The food was wonderful from breakfast through dinner. We’ll always remember how warmly you looked after us. Thank you so much!

We arrived at 4am after our sleeper bus got in much earlier than expected, without having booked ahead, and the family still kindly let us stay. The rooms were clean and lovely, and breakfast was included, with especially good pancakes. We also enjoyed a really tasty family dinner. They can arrange tours as well as bus and train tickets directly through the homestay. Such a lovely family and a great stay.

The evening meal was delicious local food for 120K dong, and there’s also a good free breakfast. Hung, the main host, was especially kind and helpful. It’s a welcoming, friendly family run homestay, and I’d recommend staying here in Phong Nha.

The rooms were lovely, and the AC kept them cool through the really hot days. The family were friendly and helpful from start to finish, and sorting tours and a bus to our next stop was easy. Food is available throughout the day and was decent compared with other places nearby, though it wasn’t anything special to me, maybe I’ve been spoiled by traditional cooking. The mango smoothie, though, was probably the best I’ve had.
