Expedia eventually gave us partial compensation, which we appreciated. The hotel did not offer any, and when Expedia contacted them, they declined compensation. At checkout, the owners acknowledged that workers had made mistakes, but there was no apology. On the night of January 3, nobody came to our room or explained what was happening. We had been told someone would check, but no one arrived, and at the time it seemed like losing the water was being treated as normal. Our unit lost both hot and cold water while we were showering, then had none overnight until around 8:30 AM. Nearby units still had water. After international travel, being without water all night is unacceptable. We hope the improvements the hotel mentioned will keep this from happening to other guests.

Everything was kept in lovely condition, and the staff were fantastic. Even though it’s surrounded by greenery, the resort is only a 10-minute scooter ride from the city center. The pool is stunning, and the rooms are bright, spacious and very comfortable, with a large, convenient bathroom.

We liked being away from the centre, where there’s no traffic noise or barking dogs. Getting around with Grab was easy. The place is clean and quiet, the room service is good, and reception staff are always around, speak English and are happy to help. The menu is limited, but the food is cooked on-site. Highly recommend it.

A quiet, cosy little hotel with really friendly staff. Renting a scooter is easy, and you can get to any part of the island within a few minutes.
