Doi Sao Phu Quoc

There's a pool, which was a nice extra, and the breakfast was good. The place is just a 2 minute walk from the main street, with very friendly, good service.

The view is pretty nice, but the service is really bad.

For the price, the room was good. It came with a double bed, fridge, TV, air conditioning, ceiling fan, table, two armchairs, wardrobe, and a bedside table with a lamp. The shower had hot water. It was all fine, though there could've been more outlets.

I'm staying here now, and the staff have been awful. Juan especially seems to do everything possible to give guests a bad impression. I went to reception with a translator and got the same response to all my questions: "I don't understand you." I asked for a tea bag and was told they had none. I asked for a clothes dryer, and he said he had mine but wouldn't give it to guests, even though I've seen dryers in other cottages. Why treat guests this way? Don't you value them? I'm constantly having to ask for liquid soap, and they only put in enough for washing hands. The bathroom gets left all wet after cleaning, and the beach towels aren't changed. There are two of us, but they gave us only three 35mg bottles of conditioner, shampoo, and shower gel. The shower drains badly, and staff never deal with the clogs. They even scolded me like a schoolgirl for leaving a card in the room about it. After that, I honestly don't want to return. I've travelled halfway around the world and never come across staff with this attitude. They're incredibly disrespectful to guests.
