Golden Sunset Hotel

I booked the oceanview room, 508, on a whim without researching first. It cost 200k more than a room without the view, and I thought it was worth it. You can see the ocean fully, plus part of the Kiss of the Sea stage and fireworks. For a better look at the show, you have to lean out of the window. The room was small but very clean, and the price was reasonable. The staff were very helpful. One thing I wish they’d told us: the hot water switch is outside the bathroom. It wasn’t a big issue since the water wasn’t that cold. If you have a motorbike or scooter, you can park on the sidewalk across the street. They also rent scooters and cars.

We had a good stay for four nights. The room was clean and had everything we needed, including toiletries, towels, a hair dryer, and even a steam iron, which I was glad to have for my outfit. On our first day we rented a bike from the hotel for 200k VND per day, a cheaper rate. Breakfast is available, though we slept late one morning and had somewhere else to be on the other day, so we didn’t get to try it. The location worked well for us, with a mart, market, and nail spa nearby. From the balcony we could see beautiful fireworks and the kiss bridge, which was a great experience. The one awkward part was that on our second night they moved our things to another room because the bathroom was leaking, without telling us first. I didn’t mind much because they meant well and the owner was super nice, but a WhatsApp message in advance would have been great. Apart from that, everything was really good. Highly recommended.

For such a good price, the location made it easy to get around sunset town. The views were beautiful, and the rooms were clean and smelled amazing. More than anything, the staff were incredibly kind and thoughtful. This was the best stay we’ve had in Phu Quoc, and I’d highly recommend Golden Sunset Hotel.

The customer service was really good, and the hotel was clean. We enjoyed staying here. There are amazing views, and you can walk to everything nearby. Thank you.
