Lily House Hotel Phu Quoc

I booked after seeing so many positive reviews, but this turned into my worst experience. I arrived on a Sunday when it wasn’t busy and found nobody at the front desk. They had left a phone number for problems, but the access card was just sitting in the elevator where anyone could use it. The lobby lights were off, there was no air conditioning or staff, and the main entrance was open with no security. We could only hope nothing happened to us. The next morning I called the number posted in the elevator to ask for an iron. I was told to go get one from another room, and it took about an hour to get that reply. To the “nice” owner people mention in reviews, please check the service and the property so guests can feel safe and at home.

The construction noise was awful and really loud. The service was bad too.

The staff were friendly, and the place is near the cable car, but cleanliness was a real problem. The bathroom had water stains and red mold on the toilet, there were lots of ants, and I couldn’t tell when the bath mat had last been washed. I even woke up with a ladybug on my pillow and slept beside it. Cleaning felt incomplete, the place seemed old and poorly maintained, and my towel had a hole in it.
