Gold Hotel Phu Quoc

The service was impeccable, and the staff were friendly and safe to deal with for families and couples. I loved the indoor pool on level B1, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The hotel feels like an average 4-star place and could use some upgrades, though the tile floor felt great on my feet after walking outside. It’s conveniently near the beach and reasonably priced restaurants. Phu quoc city is a working progress, but the trip was a great experience. I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

The ocean-facing room had a wide, unobstructed view, and I liked waking up to the sound of waves. It was generally quiet, with little noise from other guests. The gym is small but adequate. I didn’t try the complimentary spa. The location was easy for finding Grab cars, and the airport transfer and luggage care were complimentary. Reception and service were fantastic, and staff promptly fixed an issue with the door lock. The shower pressure was sometimes weak, and the water temperature could swing around. Even when the indicator said “cold,” steaming hot water came out, so keep an eye on it. My room was right at the top of the building, and I imagine heavy rain or a thunderstorm could be quite an experience up there. Luckily, the weather stayed clear during my visit.

The pool is cleaned daily, breakfast is delicious, and there’s a bathtub, sea view and even free Coca-Cola in the room. I especially love the smell of the bath salt and shower gel. The cozy room was cool as soon as I walked in because the key card had been set up in advance. The location is excellent, and they provide a free airport shuttle. The service was warm and friendly, especially from Thanh. Highly recommended!

Thang and Thanh at reception were amazing. They helped with everything I needed, always smiling and positive, and went above and beyond. Their friendly, professional service made the stay much more comfortable and enjoyable. I had a wonderful visit and was especially impressed by how willing the staff were to help.
