The owner was the highlight for us. She was warm, kind, and incredibly helpful, making sure we were comfortable and pitching in whenever we needed anything. Moc Lam Bungalow itself is cozy and charming, with a peaceful feel that suits a relaxing break. The pool is small but clean and well kept, nice for a quick dip. Both the bungalow and pool are on the compact side, but the comfort and hospitality more than made up for it. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The host was one of the warmest and most wonderful people I’ve met while traveling. This is a small tucked-away place in the city, away from the commercial bustle but centrally located for getting around. We were a large group and it worked well. Our rooms were a good size, with twin double beds, and were neat and clean. There’s a small pool that’s a good size for kids. We were a group of Jains and brought our own food. The kitchenette has a stove and refrigerator, plus a dining table for 10-12, so we cooked our meals. Book directly if you can. Show the host the best price you find on a travel booking site, and she’ll give an extra 5% discount.

The photos must have been taken when the place was new, because it looks quite different now. There’s no grass or lawn chairs. The rooms are fairly clean, but nowhere near five-star quality. I’d put them at 3 to 4 stars, though I’m used to corporate hotels.

We spent a month here as a family of four. The service was amazing, and I loved the smoothies. Our room was very clean and the pool was beautiful. We’d definitely come back.
