We stayed for 3 nights in a three-bedroom villa, which was really comfortable and had an awesome view. The place was so convenient: water was right there when we wanted it, and so was an iron when we needed one. They’d thought of pretty much everything. The villas and the setting were amazing, and I loved the halal option. Laundry was quite affordable too, in my opinion. It’s also pretty affordable overall, and I’d definitely pick this place again if I visit Vietnam.

Janie and Terry at the front desk made our family feel so welcome. From arrival, they were kind, professional, and patient with check-in and all our questions, always greeting us warmly. Their service helped make the trip unforgettable. Mövenpick was a beautiful, well-kept resort that felt very family-friendly. Our rooms were comfortable, and the pool and beach were just right for relaxing with the kids. We’d love to return and would recommend it to other families.

The ocean view was magical, and we caught some incredible sunsets right from the hotel. The rooms were spacious, with top-class bathrooms, and the housekeeping kept them spotless throughout our stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating everywhere, from the hotel and restaurants to the beach. The beach was very close, which made things easy, and the breakfast buffet had a big, varied selection. We did wish there were more choices for people who don’t eat pork, especially a wider halal selection at breakfast. Still, Mövenpick was a lovely place to stay, and the staff made us feel welcome. We’d recommend it.

Chocolate Hour became part of our daily routine, and the kids looked forward to it every afternoon. There was plenty to keep them busy too, from the kids club and foam parties in the main pool to the beach. We also loved the main pool’s swim-up bar, especially at happy hour. The cocktails were excellent and surprisingly well priced for a luxury resort, and the pool area always felt fun and relaxed. Our villa was spacious, beautifully designed, and ideal for a larger family group. The resort has a luxury feel while still being very family-friendly. It’s huge, but the buggy service made getting around easy, especially with young children. Check the buggy schedule for rides to the front gate if you want to visit nearby shops or services. The spa had beautiful facilities, professional staff, and was very relaxing. If you’re on a tighter budget, there are also laundry and spa services just outside the gates that are much cheaper and still good quality. Service across the resort was consistently warm and attentive, and we felt looked after the whole time. Mövenpick Villas & Residences Phu Quoc was one of our favourite family resort stays. We made lovely memories and would absolutely return.

The rooms need maintenance, and the resort didn’t feel close to a luxury experience. Our stay is still going on with family, but it’s been one of my most disappointing hotel experiences, even after reviewing hundreds of hotels around the world as a top contributor on Google and Trip Advisor. Maybe I expected too much from the Accor Brand or Movenpick. At breakfast, the separate Indian vegetarian section didn’t taste Indian, including the tea. The breads were nothing like ones available in India, and the toaster took three tries to make toast slightly warm. The white bread near the larger bread section ran out, and despite repeated requests, wasn’t refilled. The Indian tea refill came only after we’d finished and buffet hours were over. Staff didn’t seem to care or understand what we needed. In the room, there were only four small bottles of water, each with a warning that an extra bottle would cost 50000 vnd. The minibar was empty, the luggage rack was broken and only shabbily repaired after I reported it, and the toilet smelled very bad in the morning even before use. The hand shower holder kept falling down. There were many other issues too.
