I highly recommend staying with this lovely family. The location is ideal, and they're kind, caring, and really interested in you as a guest. I noticed locals eating at the restaurant just as often as hotel guests. The menu is good value and delicious. I ordered the same dish three days running because it was so good. I might have missed another great flavor, but I didn't want to risk it while I was in tastebud heaven. It was hot mushroom and pineapple in a little oven-baked pot with other tasty ingredients, served with jasmine rice and fresh greens, ripe tomatoes, cucumbers, shaved carrots, and very thin radish slices. On my third day, I realized the senior family member seemed to head to the fresh market early every morning, then return with more separate bags from different growers than looked possible to carry on a motorbike. On the first of my five days there, my shoe sole came apart from the upper just ten steps from the entrance. I went back, and a family member who's always at the front desk noticed and offered me two kinds of glue. Soon I was back on my way to explore the island.

I tried the attached restaurant and wouldn't recommend going back. There's better value and quality for both accommodation and food nearby. The room was extremely basic, and I mean basic 🤔. Not a great location, no view, and the bedding and towels were low grade.

It's an easy walk into the city, and this small family-run place goes above and beyond. The restaurant serves wholesome traditional food with excellent service. They'll arrange a tour and rent bikes to guests, plus you get 10% off food and drinks at the restaurant. A real find, I'd definitely recommend it.
