Novus Sol Hotel & Apartment Sunset Town Phu Quoc

The staff were very polite and did their best to help us feel comfortable. When we ran into problems with the apartment we'd booked, they offered us a free upgrade. The hotel is new, and the apartments are clean. It's well placed near the cable station and Sunset Town's main square. There's also an open rooftop where you can watch fireworks every night. I'd recommend staying here if you're visiting Sunset Town. We forgot to take photos, but the apartment looked like the pictures. I meant to post this on Booking.com, but mixed up the hotels, and they wouldn't let me submit a review.

The lobby is spacious enough to work in, and has a lovely lemongrass and tangerine smell. Everyone was kind and polite, and housekeeping was excellent. At reception, you can order a large water-cooler bottle for 100k dong or arrange laundry service. Our apartment didn't have a washing machine. We were also glad to get two key cards, which is handy when sharing a place. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, spas, and a few small markets nearby. The area is hilly, so keep that in mind if walking is difficult for you. The apartment felt quiet and cozy. Most nearby buildings are still empty, and people often come just for the fireworks and then leave, so there wasn't loud music outdoors late at night. The panoramic windows were beautiful. For a longer stay, the kitchenette was well equipped, and there was a ton of storage. I don't think I've seen such a thoughtfully arranged set of cabinets and drawers in Vietnam before. The lit kitchen counter and bedside lights were especially convenient, as was the TV on wheels that you can position where you want. The bathroom mirror had two lighting options. A few small things could be improved. It would be useful to have cooking oil, salt, and pepper, plus two extra bowls for cereal. A silicone strip under the glass shower door would help keep water from leaking toward the sink. We used a towel for that temporarily. The water heater worked great and the pressure was good. The wall-mounted dressing table had no outlet, or even an extension cord, though luckily we brought our own. A couple of tables and benches on the rooftop would be nice too, since the sunset view is splendid. 😻🤌

Monica, her mom, and the staff made our stay really pleasant. This was our first day in Vietnam and our first trip there, and they helped us settle in with useful suggestions. When my wife was fighting a virus, they even brought a diffuser to our room. The hosts were quick to respond whenever we needed anything. We took a chance on a newer place with fewer reviews, but the positive feedback and photos looked promising, and we're glad we chose it. The rooms are set up like small apartments, most with a great view, and you can see fireworks every night. It's walkable to most things, and having a washing machine in the room was handy. Reception sells single laundry soap tabs for a very small, fair fee. Thanks again.

The views were great, and the room had a hot shower, washing machine, and AC. It was beautifully styled, clean, comfortable, and felt luxurious for such a good price. Really enjoyable stay, I'd recommend it. Thank you!
