Phuc Thang Hotel

We found this little hotel after the first place we'd booked turned out to be a disaster. There weren't many reviews, so we hesitated, but the staff let us see the room and we booked it right away. It had recently been renovated and was under a new name, which explains the lack of reviews. Our room was compact for three, but practical and had everything we needed. It was clean and tidy, and the rooms face the back rather than the main boulevard, so ours was quite quiet. The hotel is right on Đường Trần Hưng Đạo, with restaurants, pubs, bars, and shops nearby. Long Beach is just across the street. Great location, a good price, and a very clean, safe, quiet stay. We were lucky to find it.

The rooms are clean and decent, and the location is somewhere in the middle. You can walk to the night market or beach, though each takes a bit of a walk. The beach is closer, but you'll need to go farther to find a proper stretch without trash. The staff don't speak English.

We stayed five nights and thought it was amazing value. The rooms look recently updated, feel modern, and have huge smart TVs. Some rooms take a while to cool down, but the woman who checked us in went out of her way to help. She was welcoming and helpful the whole time, even sorting things out when our Grab driver had no change. We've been in Southeast Asia for over three months, and the service here was among the best we've had. Apart from the slow air con in some rooms, it felt as good as hotels costing three or four times as much.

The location made it easy to get to restaurants, shops, and nearby attractions. My room was spacious, very clean, and had the amenities I needed. The bed was comfortable, and the A/C was a welcome break from the heat. The staff were friendly and attentive from check-in through checkout. I also thought the price was reasonable for the quality, and I'd happily stay again. Phuc Tang Hotel exceeded what I expected, and I recommend it for a comfortable, convenient stay.
