The deluxe chalet is cozier than it looks in the pictures because it’s smaller, and the bathroom is small enough that you’ll need to get creative. Still, the bed is soft and comfortable, there’s warm water for showers, and towels are clean every day. It’s a 10-minute walk to Long Beach, with a supermarket across the road and a good pizza place nearby. Service is excellent, with helpful advice for getting around the island. I looked forward to breakfast each morning, and there are plenty of places to lounge and catch the breeze by the pool.

A wooden cabin is a fun place to stay, and there’s a pool right in front where you can relax or swim. It’s a new resort and breakfast is provided. There are only a limited number of cabins. It seems like a good spot for morning birds. For families or a big couple like us, choose one of the larger cabins to avoid regrets.

The room was incredibly cramped, with a bed barely big enough for one person. There was no sink, and the shower was really just a tap with hardly any water coming out. The air conditioner’s motor was near the window, causing constant noise and vibration. From outside and in the pictures it all looks good, but inside was shocking. We couldn’t wait to get out, and the price didn’t match the room at all. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The toilet and sink were combined, and the setup only worked a little when flushing, which made brushing teeth or washing tricky. The private bungalow felt more like glamping, with the shower and toilet in a very confined space. WiFi was weak, most staff spoke hardly any English, and service was generally poor. The nearest beach is a good 10-minute walk away.

The cabanas are very small for two people. We found bed bugs, but when we showed the staff a video of little bugs crawling on the sofa, they said they’d just clean the room with a towel and that they were only mosquitoes.
