The staff were consistently polite and helpful, and our room was clean, spacious, and well maintained. Breakfast was nicely set out, though the hot food was always lukewarm or cold. The resort itself felt tired and didn't match its 8.6 Booking.com rating. Around the pool, tiles were broken and discoloured, weeds pushed through the paving, and the water looked milky and unclean. The beach bar was poorly stocked, so even for a basic drink we had to walk to the main bar. We spent nine nights at Saigon Phu Quoc Resort over Christmas and New Year 2025, and came away disappointed given our expectations. A day visit to Salinda Resort was a striking contrast and a real help to us. Saigon Phu Quoc needs a serious overhaul to compete. For somewhere lovely to stay, we recommend Salinda Resort. For evenings, Sunset Beach Bar and Versailles Beach Bar were good options. Khem Beach is beautiful and has nice restaurants, and Grand World in the north is worth seeing after 7pm, when its Venice-style buildings light up and there are plenty of places to eat. One practical tip: currency exchanges only accept new-series $100 USD notes. This resort seems to be relying on its past reputation, so for a true premium stay on Phu Quoc, look elsewhere.

We stayed in a spacious, clean garden-view room with lovely views, and waking to the sound of the ocean was a daily highlight. The private beach and beautiful pool were also a pleasure. The location gives you a peaceful beachfront setting while still being close to town and the night market. What really made the stay was the staff. From reception to the restaurant team and groundskeepers, everyone was warm, helpful, and ready with a smile. We felt welcomed and genuinely cared for from the moment we arrived. Saigon Phu Quoc Resort and Spa has a luxurious setting and made our getaway feel personal and easy. I'd gladly recommend it and am already looking forward to returning.

At Saigon Hotel in Phu Quoc, the rooms were spacious and clean, with lovely views that made it easy to relax. Breakfast had plenty of food and lots of variety, and the pool was very clean and refreshing. The room was cleaned every day, and the cleaners did an exceptional job. Staff were extremely professional. It was a very quiet location, apart from people slamming doors.
