SOL by Meliá Phu Quoc Hotel

The afternoon tea was a real highlight. THU TÂM explained the tea choices, helped us find a comfortable spot, and even brought extra cakes. Her thoughtful, warm service made it memorable, and the tea itself was excellent, better than we expected. The hotel is peaceful, a nice place to unwind near the airport. There are plenty of restaurants and activities, and every staff member we met was friendly, professional, and attentive. They helped with our luggage as soon as we arrived, and check-in was easy and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return.

Chef Trent Whelan made us feel looked after with his personal, friendly service and care for the dining experience. He was warm and welcoming, and you could tell he really enjoys hospitality. The food was a big part of our stay too: fresh, delicious dishes and plenty to choose from, including Vietnamese and international options, so we enjoyed trying something different each day. I had a wonderful time at SOL by Meliá Phu Quoc. The hotel and food were great, and the hospitality from Chef Trent Whelan made the visit unforgettable. Highly recommend it if you're coming to Phu Quoc.

The staff in every department were genuinely lovely. They were attentive, tried hard to meet our requests, and we appreciated their efforts. We ended up happier after upgrading to a junior suite with an ocean view, even though that meant giving up pool access. We usually choose pool access rooms when traveling with our two children, so the room we booked at Sol was a disappointment. The so-called pool was only about a foot and a half deep, ran past around 15 rooms, and was separate from the main pool. To me, calling that 'Pool Access' was misleading. The rooms are showing some wear. Breakfast could get chaotic, so we started going later in the morning when it was noticeably calmer. Sol was still reasonable value.

Our driver Khan deserves a special mention. He took us around Phu Quoc with patience, great driving, and such a pleasant attitude. The team also helped us arrange cabs whenever we needed them, and everyone was polite, proactive, and keen to help. We spent two weeks here on our honeymoon, and the hospitality felt heartfelt from the start. The Chef personally welcomed us and made sure we felt cared for. All the staff were warm, attentive, and professional, which made the whole trip feel easy and special. It felt like a home away from home, and we wouldn't trade this experience for anything. We're already looking forward to coming back. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a memorable, luxurious stay, especially couples on their honeymoon.
