We booked rooms at Lala Hotel four months ahead for Christmas, got confirmation, and our card was charged. Then just two days before check-in they cancelled, saying there was a water pipe problem. We went to the property and saw that the hotel was still operating and there was no such issue. Other residents told me their bookings at other hotels had been cancelled too, and they were renting this place for triple the price. It looked to us like Lala Hotel gave our rooms to another family for a much higher rate when people couldn’t find rooms at Christmas. We had young kids and grandma with us and had to search for somewhere to stay during the holiday. The staff had a terrible attitude and told us to complain to the platform, not him. They also refused to refund us. Definitely a scam!

The location is the only good thing here. I’d rather stay farther away than stay at this place. The sheets weren’t washed, and if you’re given a top floor room you have to climb four floors of narrow stairs. Not worth the money at all.

This property is called Beach Hostel, not Lala Homestay. It’s close to Grand World Phu Quoc and Grand World, and you can walk to everything. A good option if you want to save a few dollars while staying near the attractions.

We booked a family room at la la boutique hotel for a 2 pm check-in. Ours was on the 3rd floor, and there’s no elevator. The room was very spacious and clean, with two queen beds and a really nice balcony view of the park and a building. It had AC, though no ceiling fans, as well as a kettle, an iron, tea leaves, and the usual other things. I’ve attached photos and video.

The room was spacious, beautiful, clean, and smelled fresh. It had a new air conditioner, and the price was low compared with nearby areas. The location is convenient, and the owner and staff are friendly and enthusiastic. They also helped with early check-in. Very worthwhile experience.
