Times Corner Sorrento Boutique Hotel

The sea-facing view is the standout here, with the hotel up on a hill and an Italian-style alleyway out front. It was my first visit to Phu Quoc, and the spot made it easy to wander around the nearby tourist bazaars, man-made "monuments," and Kiss bridge. You can ask the staff to arrange help if you get tired, though I didn't need a buggy. We stayed two days, and the front desk staff and housekeepers were great about looking after us. Ask them if you need information, especially about shows or the cable car. The ground-floor restaurant served tasty food and drinks, though I'd still look around for more variety. My Twin room was narrow to move around in, but there are bigger rooms. I'd choose one with an ocean-facing opening for that lovely view. Five stars for the stay.

The worst part of our one-night stay in March 2026 was how staff handled a problem with our two-year-old, who got sick and vomited on the bed overnight. They wouldn't bring us a clean sheet or blanket that night, or even the next morning, then charged 150,000 vnd for the soiled sheet at checkout. It felt inhumane and insensitive. We were in a small room on the third floor with a partial sea view. The bed was small too. Breakfast was a la carte, but most menu items weren't available or couldn't be eaten by vegetarians.

They eventually gave us a room after an hour, but the whole booking issue left me very uncomfortable. The hotel first asked for either a deposit or my passport, though this hadn't been mentioned on the booking page. Later they asked me to cancel a non-refundable reservation, saying with a little giggle that it was refundable. I requested cancellation and a refund through the booking page, but they never replied. There was no manager, and I wouldn't stay here again. The room was small, the walls looked very dirty, water covered the bathroom floor, the sheets were stained, and the pillowcase was torn. They changed the bedding when I said I wouldn't pay for someone else's mess. We skipped breakfast, so I can't comment on it. Why not disclose the deposit requirement on the booking page? If it had been stated, I would have paid, but since it wasn't, I don't think I should have to leave a deposit. The service was very bad and felt fishy. One star feels generous for all this trouble.

The staff made the stay especially easy, always kind, professional, and quick to help. Our room at Times Corner Sorrento Boutique Hotel was clean, comfortable, and very nice. Breakfast was good, though it could have had more variety. I had a wonderful time in Phu Quoc and would happily return. Definitely recommend it.
