Xom House Bien Ho

I booked through Agoda for the Lunar New Year holiday at a slightly lower rate than the one on the website. Before I arrived, the owner messaged asking me to cancel because they no longer worked with Agoda. They then quoted nearly twice what I’d booked for, which was even above the price shown on their own website. The house looks beautiful, but this booking left a terrible impression before the stay had even begun. I thought the service was extremely poor, and the whole experience was awful. The price listed through Agoda or the website may not be accurate, so ask directly before booking. I felt the listed price could be misleading.

Check-in is by pass code, and you contact them through Zalo, so there’s no hotel-style reception desk. I rented a room, but it felt like having a whole house to myself. It’s peaceful, green, and clean, with soft bedding and reasonable prices. The spot is quiet and away from crowded areas, with homes nearby, a coffee plantation opposite, and picturesque hills in the distance. There are motorbikes for rent too. It’s also conveniently placed for Chu Dang Ya volcano, Bien Ho lake, Lem Coffee, Hundred-Year-Old Pine Trees, Tea Hill, temples, and other places. After staying here, I could imagine wanting a house of my own here 😄

The evenings were quiet since the homestay is in a residential area away from the main street, and the security gave me peace of mind. It has CCTV and multiple electronic locks. The surroundings are a bit dark, though. There’s lots of parking, and the location is convenient for nearby attractions. The garden is beautiful, with many kinds of plants and an outdoor pond full of lively koi. The exterior has a distinctive artistic design. Inside, things were clean and tidy, with towels, toothbrushes, slippers, and other toiletries provided. The house also has a TV, shared bathroom, kitchen, and refrigerator, which made day-to-day life easy. I had a comfortable, safe stay and would recommend it.

The space is small but airy. The room is lovely, new, and clean. There’s no hot water heater, they use solar energy instead. I’d come back if I visit Bien Ho.
