The beds were big and comfortable, and we were right in downtown Quang Ngai. The hotel was clean, though run down. Reception was welcoming, and maintenance responded quickly. They also dealt with a cockroach on the bathroom towels promptly and bravely, which we appreciated. Our air conditioner dripped all night. We only figured out the noise in the morning, when we found a puddle on the floor. At 4 a.m. the fire alarm went off. We weren’t evacuated, but smelled a lot of cigarette smoke and suspect that set it off. The hotel allows smoking, and the smell gets everywhere. The shower setup is awkward if you’re tall. The shower head is low, and water sprays all over no matter how carefully you try to keep it in. We had to towel off the floor after showering so it wouldn’t be slippery.

I stay at HUNG VOUNG HOTEL whenever I’m in town for a business trip, and I love both the hotel and this city. The hotel is right in the city center, with good restaurants and shops close by. We really appreciate the clean rooms, good breakfast and friendly help, especially Miss.TANH at reception. I’m always happy to recommend it.

I couldn’t stay here, and I’d suggest booking somewhere else. When I asked for a room, the man at the front desk wanted to see my visa, which was fine. He read the number backwards and got confused, then told me my visa wasn’t valid, even though my latest extension was only two days old and there was no issue with it. I explained the mistake and he understood, but still refused to book me a room, this time without giving a reason. There are plenty of other places, and they’re cheaper, too.
