I checked in around 7pm after a long motorbike ride. The guy seemed friendly, but there were two hotels next to each other, and after I paid he took me to the other one, which was a motel. I thought I was booking the first place, so it left me confused and feeling like I might have been scammed. The price wasn't too bad and the room looked new, but the sheets were dirty and had hairs on them, like someone had already slept there. I wasn't too bothered at first, since I've stayed in worse places. The problem came later. They took my money and a copy of my passport when I checked in. I went out for food, came back, and was in bed by 10pm. The man knocked and asked for my original passport. I told him the motorbike rental company had it, and he apologized and left. I'm deaf, so I took out my cochlear before going to sleep. About 20 minutes later, he suddenly opened my door and asked for the passport again. I explained once more, but he said he needed it and kicked me out around 11pm. I had to pack up, get back on my bike, and find somewhere else in the middle of the night. I'm very grateful that Min house hostel took me in for half price, at 100d, even though it looked closed. A nice guy came out to talk when he saw I was struggling. I've never had a passport problem at any homestay, hostel, or hotel before.

The room was good for an affordable price. My foreign friends really liked it, and I think you'll love it too.
