Song Tra Hotel

At $85 per night for two rooms in a small province like Quang Ngai, this didn’t feel worth the money, and I wouldn’t return or recommend it. The location also isn’t ideal, since it’s not close to the central areas or streets. The room was hard to sleep in: the bed was so hard we woke with sore backs, and we had a sleepless night. There was no “Do not disturb” sign, yet housekeeping entered while we hadn’t checked out. The air conditioner needs its annual cleaning because it smelled odd and filthy when running. The rooms need urgent renovation. A leaking toilet valve left the bathroom floor wet and slippery. The carpet by the door frame was old and torn, the wall was cracked and stained, and there were rusty marks inside the wardrobe. Basic items like a pen were nowhere to be found, though there was a spare condom in a drawer. Housekeeping was below even a basic hotel standard: there was dry lizard droppings on the windowsill, which was disgusting and unhygienic, and the bar stools were dirty and stained. This isn’t what I expect from a hotel claiming three stars, or from a room called “VIP.” If this is the VIP room, what must the standard room be like?
