FLC Luxury Hotel Quy Nhon

We had a great time here as a family, and the service was good. The staff were nice, and Ms Thao supported us really well during our vacation at FLC. Highly recommended.

The location felt like a ghost town, with virtually no shops, restaurants, or activity nearby. Taxis also weren’t free to enter the property, so we had to ask permission for one to come in. That made getting out feel strangely restrictive. When we raised concerns about the building’s condition, staff insisted it was fully functioning and normal. We’d just walked around and seen the rundown state ourselves, so it felt like they were trying to gaslight us. The beachfront was neglected too, covered in trash and debris despite the resort advertising itself as a beach destination. We had originally booked this hotel. Just before we arrived, they said “construction” meant our reservation had to move to another building for the first part of the trip, then we’d return here after two days. Out of curiosity, we went to see that other building. It looked abandoned, with visibly deteriorating sections, much of the property closed off, and barely anyone around. Changing a reservation at the last minute and expecting guests to stay in a rundown, abandoned-looking place is unacceptable. The lack of transparency and dismissive staff made everything worse. I’d urge travelers to think very carefully before booking.

The hotel was mediocre overall. The food was mid, and service was alright. They mistakenly charged us for two suites even though we paid for one. The charger ports in the rooms were so difficult to use that even the service staff struggled to plug in my charger. It eventually worked, but it shouldn’t take that much effort.

We booked two nights at FLC Luxury Hotel Quy Nhon, hoping for a balcony with a direct beach view and a spot relatively close to Ky Co Beach. About a month before arrival, I reserved through Agoda and got a message saying the selected room would depend on availability when we arrived. The day before the stay, the hotel said FLC Luxury Hotel Quy Nhon was unavailable because it was supposedly “under renovation.” They offered an “upgrade” to the newer FLC Grand Hotel Quy Nhon. It didn’t feel like an upgrade: the hotel was further from the beach, and our balcony looked out over abandoned villas, a golf course, and the “ghost” hotel that was meant to be our original accommodation. That building didn’t seem to be under renovation at all, just deserted. Our room was small and dark, nothing like what we’d booked, and the breakfast quality was disappointing. It’s surprising that this hotel and its rooms are still being sold when they seem abandoned, like several other parts of the complex. Looking back, canceling the reservation would have been much better than accepting their alternative. What a disappointment.
