Trieu Hoang Hotel

I paid €57 for a week, which felt like unreal value for money. The rooms are simple, clean, and comfortable, and the staff are a lovely family. I had a lovely stay and would recommend it.

For just 300k and a bit dong, this was exceptional value. I’m picky about lighting and can’t stand a cool white room. They had that kind of light, but I’d asked for a bedside lamp so I wouldn’t have to put up with fluorescent lighting, and they came through. The room ended up beautifully lit, and there’s also a cute green light as another option. It reminded me of the old Canadian guesthouses from when I was young, the ones that don’t exist anymore. The bathroom was private and clean. My room looked over the city, though I noticed some rooms didn’t have a view, so choose carefully if that matters to you. It rained on my second day, when I wanted to do something fun. The family arranged a motorbike trip with Trung, one of the staff. When the rain started, he offered a Swedish style massage for only 300dong, and I gladly accepted. It was great. When the rain let up for a while, he took me to Champa Ancient temple in Quy Nhon. It started raining again while we were there, but we didn’t care. We went to dinner, had a glass of wine that night, then returned to the hotel. The hotel, tour, and massage were all an extremely good deal. The family is kind and genuine, and they’ll do their best to help with what you need. Trieu Hoang Hotel is close to the beach area, and I highly recommend it. The mum is so sweet. She’ll speak to you in Vietnamese even if you may not understand, and she has the kindest heart. I swear I saw a tear in her eye when I got into the cab, which made leaving even harder. Beautiful people.

The owner couple and their son were so hospitable and nice. This friendly family runs the business, and we had a pleasant stay during our trip to Quy Nhơn. Our room was clean and had air conditioning, and the place is close to a beautiful park and a beach you can swim at. Good value for the money. I’d definitely stay again if I’m in the area and highly recommend it.
