Yen Vy 32 Hotel - Hostel

For a very inexpensive hotel, the rooms are well equipped. They’re a little small, but the bed is comfortable, the shower is nice, and there’s a mini fridge. The elevators are a big help in a six-story building. Most of the staff were courteous and attentive. The day before we left, we handed in laundry. The receptionist barely looked up from their phone. It had rained, and I wondered if the roof was covered since the clothes would be drying up there. When I went to check, the receptionist hadn’t told housekeeping about the laundry. Using a translator, I asked the housekeeper if it could still be washed and dried before our departure the next day. They said it would be ready at 9:00am. I paid another receptionist in advance, but the clothes came back wet at 10:00am. We repacked and went out for breakfast before catching a train to Tuy Hoa. When we returned, our room card wouldn’t work because the lock battery was dead. That can happen and wasn't anyone’s fault, but several people tried the card before they called maintenance to open the door. It was stressful and left us little time to catch the train. We reached the station just as boarding began. Looking back, the whole thing is almost comical, but management should improve how laundry is handled.

We booked through HostelWorld expecting a travelers hostel, but it was more like a cheap motel and lacked advertised services, including the supposed pub. There was no hot water for a shower, our room smelled of bug spray, and it had no windows at all. If sleeping in a cave sounds good, this is the place.

For a reasonable price, you get an okay room, an elevator, parking, and a spot near the sea, so it should suit most people. Our room was quite big and nice, though I forgot to take pictures. The service came from just one small girl, but she was quick and eager to help. A few things could be better: the TV has only 10 channels, the wardrobe is small, the hangers need fixing, and more staff would help customers. Enjoy your stay!

The receptionists were quite friendly, but the room wasn't what I expected. There was barely space for anything beyond a bed and small table. The sheets weren't changed often, and the old white towels had yellow spots.
