We had neither hot water nor the breakfast included in the room price, and there was no compensation or upgrade. The hotel is far from cafes, restaurants, and the main area. Our room wasn't clean enough, and the facilities weren't well maintained. The receptionist didn't speak English, which made communication difficult.

The Sun Diamond Hotel in Ha Long has comfortable rooms and seems suitable for tourists. Still, its remote setting makes the area feel like a ghost town. Breakfast was included, but I couldn't really enjoy it.

I ate here a few times. The dinners were really tasty.

The room felt bright and comfortable, and it was brand new and spotless. The staff were pleasant and helpful. There are plenty of food options nearby, though many of the smaller shops shut early in the off-season.
