The location was great, and the staff were much nicer than I expected from the other reviews. I had a pretty pleasant stay in the end, and it felt like good value, even though things were mixed at first. My first room was spacious enough but didn't seem ready for a guest. Water was leaking from the ceiling, there were dirty work tools on a chair, and the AC remote didn't work. I politely asked if they could sort out the leak and AC. The staff responded quickly and moved me to a similar room on another floor, which had the good points of the first room without those problems. That room had a great bed, large and comfortable with clean sheets, and the AC worked properly. The room was surprisingly cool even without it, so I slept without AC despite the hot season. I heard the neighbors' dogs bark a couple of times. Other reviews called it unbearable, but it didn't bother me much. Maybe there was some risk in moving rooms, and I don't know what they'd have done if none had been free, but I think they would have found a way to fix things.

I stayed for a month and had a really unpleasant time. The rooms are old, with broken furniture, dirt, mold, and cobwebs. I asked the receptionist to have my room cleaned and they said OK, but nothing happened until I contacted management. Even then the cleaning wasn't good, and there was always lots of the cleaner's hair on the floor. Sleep was a problem throughout. The night receptionist played videos on his phone loudly every night, even after I spoke to him. Some women at reception were very unfriendly, and a few didn't greet me when I said hello first. Dogs in the neighboring house barked almost constantly, children often cried in the hotel, and an outdoor radio started up nearby at 5 AM. The glass entrance door let outside light into the room, too. There was a sewage smell from the unsealed drain. The Wi-Fi dropped out in parts of the room, rats ran around on the balcony, and I saw large cockroaches inside. The synthetic bedding built up a lot of static. After checkout, the hotel messaged me saying I had to pay for electricity, though they hadn't mentioned extra charges at check-in or recorded the meter reading.

For a budget apartment, this place has a lot going for it. The beach is a short walk away, there are mini marts and coffee shops nearby, and Go! is about seven minutes on foot. The receptionist was polite and helpful, the service was good, and the rooms look much like the photos. They're dated and old, but clean, with a kettle and fridge. Long-stay rooms are serviced weekly. The sliding door brings in plenty of air, and both the fan and AC worked well. There's an elevator, secure motorbike parking, and a water filter for free drinking water. The hot water and pressure were good, and the drains worked fine. The noise was the main issue. The dogs next door bark constantly, so I ended up buying earplugs. An older woman shouted in the foyer early every morning, and a baby often cried there during the day and evening. With the apartment's glass door, you can hear conversations throughout the building, the elevator, and people on the stairs. The toilet cubicle is too small for an average Westerner unless you sit sideways with the door open, which is uncomfortable. There are no extractor fans in either the toilet or shower cubicles. If noise doesn't bother you, it's not a bad budget place to stay.

They said they were fully booked when I came to check in, even though I'd booked through Agoda two days earlier. They moved me to a worse hotel, so I cancelled and found a better one nearby.

Good water pressure and hot water, and the room was fine for what it cost. It did feel a bit stuffy because the air didn't circulate well, though the location was quiet and near the beach.
