We asked for help booking a bus ticket to our next stop, but they didn’t try to help. In all my time in Vietnam, this was the first place where staff hadn’t helped me book my next bus; usually they do. They just told us to take a taxi, which was much more expensive. When we asked for a ride to the bus station, they quoted a ridiculous price. The five-minute motorbike trip cost as much as one night at their hotel. It felt like they just wanted to rip us off.

The location is right by the park, and the nightlife is nearby. The old downtown isn’t far either.

An average hotel.

The room was so awful I just wanted to get out as soon as possible. The smell was unbearable, and I could hardly breathe, so I had to wear a mask the whole time. The air conditioner smelled terrible too. The refrigerator was rusty and unstable, with exposed wires. There wasn’t even a bottle of water or a kettle. I can’t put the horror into words. This was my first time somewhere this terrible.

It’s a basic, average place at a reasonable price. There was no bottled water in the room, so you have to buy it. No hot water, TV, or Wi-Fi either. The parking area is small, so you have to park on the sidewalk or across the street.
