The views and hospitality were both top tier. My Hanoi to Sapa bus arrived at 4 am, earlier than scheduled, and after my initial panic and hesitation, the host let me in. The family lives on the property, so let them know well ahead if you’ll arrive early. Honestly, I’d skip the night bus. It’s a hassle and you’ll be exhausted when you reach Sapa in the morning. Vân went out of her way to make me comfortable, bringing extra fruit and snacks. I loved the pineapples. She also suggested good places to eat and a local tour I’d highly recommend. The room biscuits were delicious too. There’s a shy cat called Moon. If he lets you pet him, you’re special. There’s no VP bank ATM in Sapa, the closest one is in Lao Cai, so I’d take cash out in Hanoi or a bigger city. The property takes card payments, and there’s no elevator.

Van, her husband and their daughter Mia made us feel at home right away. She went out of her way to make our stay lovely, and after staying at many similar places, I’d put Van among the best hosts we’ve had. The homestay seems to have six double rooms. Ours was very clean, with a small balcony and a really comfortable bed. It’s set back from the main road, so nights were quiet. Thank you so much.

Van was a lovely, welcoming host and gave us great tips for our stay. The room was clean, and I loved the balcony and view. It’s very central, we slept well, and it felt safe and welcoming. You do need to manage steps to reach the property, but I highly recommend it for the value.

Van was friendly, helpful, and always available. The place was clean and comfortable, the location was nice, and the service was excellent. We really enjoyed staying here and would love to come back.

The owners were extremely kind and helpful, and the small hotel was cozy and very clean. It’s near the centre, about a five-minute walk. The only awkward part is that vehicles can’t get right up to the hotel, so carrying lots of luggage is a bit difficult.
