I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The online photos are heavily enhanced, so it doesn’t look the same in real life. Still, I liked the quiet area, which is close to some hidden gems, and the view is great. It’s a long way from the city centre, though. The rooms are inexpensive, and the staff are welcoming and accommodating. They did miss some of our room service requests, and I’d skip the breakfast. There’s potential here if the service becomes more professional.

Clouds moving across the mountains made the setting feel peaceful and almost magical. We found the rooms clean, quiet, cosy, and well maintained, so it was easy to relax and enjoy the beautiful backdrop around En Sapa Hotel. Albert, the owner, deserves special mention. He listened carefully to our concerns, understood them, and worked on solutions. His calm, respectful, hands-on manner made us feel valued and showed his commitment to hospitality. Communication with some staff was difficult at times, and I’d have liked more variety at the buffet breakfast. With those few improvements, the hotel could be even better. It already offers lovely mountain views, comfortable rooms, and a quiet atmosphere, and Albert’s dedication stood out.

The views are amazing when there’s no fog, and the rooms were very affordable, especially with breakfast included. The free breakfast was a decent hot buffet with as much as you wanted. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There are two hotels here, the newly renovated En Hotel rooms shown in these photos, and the En hotel Swallows, where you swallow the renovation costs next door. I booked the room I saw online, with a glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom, but was put in the old hotel. It was clean, but very disappointing. The location is far from everything. You won’t need an alarm because the roosters wake you up on time. They’re currently working on the right side, and the place has lots of potential.

We had a scooter accident and needed to get to the hospital. The hotel manager or owner paid for the damage to the scooter and made sure we were comfortable. He was amazing and super helpful. The location is nice because it’s away from the busy area. We really recommend this place!

Alex was the best part of our stay. He was amazing, super helpful, and made sure we had a great time. His English is fantastic, and he can help with your whole Sapa experience. The room was fantastic, with a huge king size bed, and the views were amazing. The shower was lovely and super clean, and the air conditioner worked excellently. Definitely recommend staying here for a peaceful, scenic stay with friendly locals around.
