Sapa Mackeno

The main drawback was the room: we noticed stains on the sheets and signs of mold in both the room and bathroom. Maybe that’s due to the local weather, but more thorough cleaning and perhaps a dehumidifier could help. The hallways were dark despite the sensor lights, and it was quite dark stepping out of the elevator, so a light there would be useful. The location was fantastic, right in the centre of Sapa and near restaurants, cafes, and popular sights. Check-in and check-out went smoothly, and Selena at reception was welcoming and easy to talk to. We also enjoyed the delicious welcome tea. The room was generally comfortable, and we had a mostly pleasant stay at Sapa Centre Hotel.

We came away feeling genuinely cared for, and would absolutely stay here again. The staff were warm, professional, polite, and accommodating throughout. Dua gave us a generous amount of time to pack at checkout, and also helped reserve a massage spa of our choice. The room was cozy, warm, clean, and smelled lovely. Fresh towels came every day, and when staff serviced the room, they left our things untouched, which we appreciated. The shower had strong, steady water and reliable hot water for a full 10 minutes, a real comfort in chilly Sapa. We were greeted with hot cinnamon tea when we arrived, and Dua upgraded us to a larger family room. Her consistently positive reviews had helped us decide to book, and she lived up to them and more. This stay exceeded all our expectations.

Dua at the front desk greeted us warmly and was so kind and helpful. When we mentioned a broken lamp, she replaced it right away and brought extra pillows without hesitation. At the restaurant, Tin Tin was attentive, upbeat, and lovely to talk to, and Selena thoughtfully supplied utensils for our takeaway. The whole team at Sapa Centre Hotel was efficient and professional, and everyone we spoke with had very good English, so communication was easy. Their hospitality made our stay wonderful, and we’d gladly return.

Everything is within walking distance from this hotel in the heart of Sapa, including local attractions, restaurants, shops, and the rest of town. We had a wonderful stay at Sapa Center. The staff, Dua Lipa and Selena, welcomed us warmly and were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality made things comfortable and relaxing. Great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a very convenient location made the experience memorable. We’d recommend it to anyone visiting Sapa and would love to come back.
