Surelee Homestay

I’ll remember my stay at Surelee's homestay for a long time. Linda and her family were incredibly kind and worked hard to make sure guests had a good experience. It’s a lovely choice if you want a meaningful, warm stay and are open to learning about and respecting the beautiful black Hmong culture. Thank you, Linda and family. This place will always mean something to me.

The stream and birds were part of the day’s soundtrack at this lovely mountainside homestay in Ta Van Village. I spent a fresh, energetic morning practicing the five exercises of Falun Dafa (Falun Gong), and felt peaceful, uplifted, and full of energy. The host is warm and kind, and having the homestay named after her gives it a personal charm. A great fit for anyone who enjoys nature, healing energy, and Ta Van Village’s quiet beauty. 🌄💛

I had a really good time. The room was nice, breakfast was included, and the staff were amazing and very helpful. I arrived at 1 am, after closing time, but they were still there to let me in. The only drawback is that it’s 20m from the center and Grab rides are relatively pricey, around €8. At least it’s close to the treks.

We loved hearing Surelee's life story. She’s a wonderful, brave woman, and her family made us feel very welcome. The Homestay offered a trip that we’d highly recommend, it was a truly authentic experience.
