This felt like a random house, not a homestay, and I wouldn't stay here again. The woman who lives there was rude. She went into our room and moved our things while we were out. She also kept yelling and hitting her son, and the child cried and shouted for much of the time, so there was no peace. Breakfast was included, but she refused to serve it, saying we were “too late,” even though we arrived during normal breakfast hours. Stay away.

Mia made traditional Vietnamese food every day, and it was an amazing place to stay. It was very clean, close to the beach, and reasonably priced.

The family room was clean, though it didn't have its own bathroom. The house is a few hundred meters from the beach, and you can easily reach the busy beach area at the end of Le Loi street for a lunchtime drink. A 7-seater car may have trouble getting there, so parking near the market is better. The owner was enthusiastic, honest, easygoing, and cooked delicious food. She didn't charge extra when we checked out at 2 PM today. We even asked her to buy souvenirs for us on the way out, and they were tasty, nutritious, and affordable. She treats guests like family.

Ms. Mai was so welcoming and enthusiastic, and the food she made was fresh, tasty, and very reasonably priced. When we left, she even bought us some delicious fermented pork sausage and fish sauce. We had a great, fun trip, and I'd definitely return to Mai Homestay if I get the chance.
