Be careful booking here. Agoda showed 842k VND for the room, but reception quoted me 3.1 million VND and then 2.5 million VND??? 🤡 When I asked about that gap, the receptionist paused for ages and gave me vague answers, then hung up when I asked why the prices were so different. I really don’t get this kind of customer service. 🙂

We paid the full price for a room booked through Agoda, but the receptionist wouldn’t let us check in, saying the booking confirmation code wasn’t valid. Agoda got in touch with THC, canceled the reservation, and refunded everything. We got our money back, but since it was a holiday, my family was left without anywhere to stay. Think carefully before booking this hotel through another platform.

I stayed at this Sam Son hotel for three days, and the service was terrible. The room still smelled strongly fishy and foul after cleaning, which seemed to mean changing the towels and toilet paper only. Even check-in and check-out felt hot and stuffy, with the air conditioning on in the lobby. The breakfast buffet had very few options and was badly cooked, while lunch and dinner at the hotel were worse. It was such a bad experience that I don’t want to return to Sam Son.
