The rooms were clean, the beds comfy, and we had aircon, a fan, a good bathroom and a balcony with a hammock. It gets busy on weekends, so weekdays may be quieter. The place is close to the national Park, with great rooms and, honestly, the best food around. We tried a lot, and trust me, theirs was by far the best. Most of all, Đức looked after us so well. He organised all our tours, cooked amazing food, and was fun and friendly to talk to. He also has the cutest dogs. Booking through them was easy, with selected guides and transport arranged. Do the 6am morning boat ride: we saw rare monkeys, a HUGE lizard and amazing birds. We had such an amazing time here. There’s so much love in this place, better than anywhere else. You need to stay here if you want the best and a genuine experience in Cat Tien!

The family were incredibly kind and generous, and although only their son knows some English, Google Translate made it easy to communicate. They organised all our trips to the park, and the cutest doggo was always happy to see us. There was some construction going on, but it didn’t bother us. We loved our stay. The room had air-con, a fridge, outdoor seating and a net over the bed, and it was comfortable. The location was perfect, and the restaurant food was the best we’ve had in Vietnam so far.

Rice straw also arranges national park tours. We did the evening safari for 560k for two people and the morning boat for 650k for two, both great value and amazing experiences. Thanks to the local guy Đức, he was amazing. Beautiful place, good local restaurant and amazing prices.

The family hosting the lodges are so sweet and kind. Only the son speaks some English, but they use Google Translate, so it’s no problem. It’s a nice, inexpensive place to spend a few days at Cat Tien Nationalpark. The small houses are clean, with AC, a bathroom and a mosquito net over the bed. There’s also a little porch with a nice seat and table for enjoying the view. The food was simple and cheap.
