The beds are soft and comfortable, and the A/C blows cold. But you have to leave the room key in for the power to work, which is a problem when I need to charge multiple sets of camera batteries. A security guard watches your bike overnight. Also, don’t trust Agoda when booking: there’s no pool, welcome drink, or water in the room for making tea. It’s clean by Asian standards, I guess, but feels like four stars in Asia and two in North America.

The room was okay, but breakfast was inedible. The vermicelli with grilled pork patties came with dipping sauce that was fridge-cold, and the patties were even colder. The way they served breakfast felt like they were feeding pigs.

The hotel itself couldn’t do much about the other guests, but their noise both mornings was really annoying. The beds were super comfortable, though, and the smart TV in the room already had a Netflix account registered, which was great.

I found the service well suited to individual travelers. The staff were really enthusiastic, and the receptionists paid attention, gave detailed guidance, and helped me pick a room I was happy with. I’ll come back many more times.
