The family at Bon's Homestay were generous, sweet, and genuinely happy to have guests. Even though I only stayed barely a night, being there gave me fresh energy to keep traveling. My shared dorm was clean and tidy, like a well looked after family home. I booked it because it was one of the few budget places I could prepay online by credit card through trip. I prefer that since I hate relying on cash and ATMs. Mui Dien and Da Dia were also definite highlights of my Vietnam trip.

Bon Homestay and its very quiet neighbourhood became one of the highlights of my trip. The family running it were small in number but incredibly generous, and did everything they could to make my three-night stay in January 2020 enjoyable. I especially liked our little conversations about Vietnam and the time we spent together. They helped me understand modern Vietnamese life and culture better. The place is on a calm street with hardly any traffic or shops, though stores and restaurants are close and the beach isn't far. My room had a window, clean sheets and a clean bed; the mattress was okay. They rented me a mountain bike cheaply, and also have motorbikes and scooters. Tuy Hoa felt like a hidden gem on the coast north of Nha Trang, with a train station and airport. Traffic is light outside the main roads. There’s a nice beach, clean streets, lots of sand dunes, rice paddies among tropical greenery, blue fishing boats, and a steep coastal road with panoramic views in the south. Da Dia Reef to the north was the standout, a bit like Ireland's Giant's Causeway. One thing to keep in mind: karaoke is part of life in Vietnam, so streets can get noisy now and then, regardless of what the owner wants. The family and neighbourhood were very quiet during my stay, though, and it was quiet between 23:00 pm/00:00 am and 8:00 am.

It’s a family run place with a really welcoming feel. They’re so friendly that it feels like home, and the rooms are clean, modern, and nice for an affordable price. I highly recommend it.

The hosts were warm and kind, and the room was clean and pleasant. Prices are affordable, with a supermarket and tourist spots nearby.

I enjoyed my stay a lot. The rooms are clean, modern, and nice, with good mattresses and clean bathrooms. The people are friendly and speak good English. I'd recommend this homestay anytime.
