Located in the center of Vinh City, Nghệ An, Mường Thanh Luxury Sông Lam is a 5-star hotel and one of the area’s tallest, most modern buildings. It has more than 400 luxury rooms with city and river views. There are spacious rooms, a swimming pool, spa and sauna, gym, restaurants, and meeting facilities, so it suits business or leisure stays. Its central location also makes shopping areas, local markets, and important city attractions easy to reach.

The hotel is right in the city center, and the staff are friendly. They even offer to press the elevator button for you. A few things could be better: there were no disposable slippers, the electric kettle was broken, and the shower pressure was very low.

The location was good, and breakfast was just so-so. That annoying maid woke me up at 8:30 on Sunday to make up the room!

We’ve stayed at Mung Thanh hotels before and haven’t been disappointed. They’re usually good value, and the service and staff tend to live up to their 3, 4, or 5-star ratings. The Vinh hotel deserves a sixth star, thanks to everyone from the cleaning team to the senior staff. They’re responsive and happy to make our stay better than expected. Highly recommended.

The bars and restaurants weren’t open, and the pool was being used for swimming lessons. It’s a large hotel, but the only working air conditioning anywhere was in the room. There was a funky smell in my room, and mosquitoes all over the hotel. Breakfast was okay. One side note, there are hardly any Grabs in Vinh.
