Good For You Hotel

A pleasant hotel for a few nights in District 2, with nice western shops nearby to enjoy.

Toung and Thien at the front reception were very helpful and pleasant whenever we saw them. They worked hard and made our stay better. There’s also a guard on duty 24/7. The location is great, with a nice view of the Landmark building if you book the largest room. At the far end of the street, not far from the hotel, there are coffee shops and little tables by the river where you can relax among local people. Snacks are around 70k-100k vnd, and drinks are only 25k vnd. The smallest room has no windows and is very small, so I wouldn’t book it unless you’re alone for a day or two. The hotel has amenities you can ask for if you run out of something, including towels, shampoo, shower gel, a kettle, hair dryer, minibar, and drinks in the fridge. They only clean the room when you check out. The service was friendly, and it was handy that the hotel has an elevator. There are plenty of power outlets and lighting switches for different colour temperatures.

The room is much smaller than it looks in the Agoda picture, and each day the key gets turned off. You arrive to find yourself locked out and have to go back downstairs. The receptionist doesn’t speak English, so leaving the key at the desk can be hard to explain. Every day I also had to deal with the bike guard, who doesn’t speak English either. It’s an unwelcoming place to come back to. I’d avoid it.

The receptionist service was terrible, and they didn’t clearly explain the room rates at check-in. Compared with other local hotels, the price is too high. The extra charges for additional staying time were especially unreasonable and ridiculously expensive for the time I spent. I won’t stay here a second time.
