Vinh Plaza Hotel

The pool was green and unusable, and a door in the food area was hanging off. At checkout, they accused us of taking minibar drinks. We hadn't, and they eventually let us leave. We also had to switch rooms at 9:30pm after finding three cockroaches in ours. The staff seemed nice, but breakfast was very basic, with cheap meat cuts, noodles, and rice. The place is old and broken and needs a lot of work. Google advertises it as four star, while the lobby says three star. Maybe it was a three star hotel years ago, but I wouldn't return. It's a sad place.

It's cheap, but paying more would get you a better hotel. This is an old, run-down place that wasn't very clean. The bathroom and the rest of the hotel need renovating. It was probably a nice hotel 50 years ago. If I hadn't been travelling all day, I would have gone somewhere else.

The pool looked more like a swamp, the floor had lots of stains, and the hallway smelled of cigarettes. There were splatters and webs all over the walls. After we finally got into the room, we found it dirty and checked right back out. Thankfully, we got a full refund, because the €60 we paid wasn't worth it. We arrived around 5:30 in the morning and were told check-in was at 10:30. We waited about an hour in the lobby, which also seemed to be used as an event hall, while people played painfully loud music and yelled. At 10:30 we were told to wait until noon, when we were already exhausted.

The hotel is close to downtown, but it badly needs renovation and feels tired. Even the non-smoking rooms smelled of cigarette smoke. We had to switch two of our three rooms because of pests, cigarette stains on a bed, and broken tiles. Breakfast was mediocre at best, so we ate out afterward.
