ibis Styles Vung Tau

This was my second stay at ibis Styles Vung Tau, and I was happy with it. The location at Bai Thuy Van is prime, though weekends can get a bit noisy late at night. On weekdays, it’s super chill. The rooms were clean and well maintained, even with lots of families and kids getting the floors and lifts wet. Breakfast was decent too. For me, it’s even better value than Pullman Vung Tau.

The beach was the part that needs attention. At low tide it’s still full of trash, mostly plastic washed in from the ocean, along with litter from local fishermen and tourists. The local authorities haven’t started daily beach cleaning yet. Maybe two crews of two people, starting from each end and meeting in the middle, could help. There are also lots of poles with black flags showing white skeleton heads. They apparently warn tourists to be careful swimming, but most tourist places use colors and clear signs instead. We stayed at Ibis in February 2026 as a family of four, with two adults and two young teenagers. Our seaview Family Room had bunk beds and a balcony. The quality of the rooms, generous breakfast, service, rooftop pool, and beachfront seaview location felt more like what I’d expect from a Novotel. Vũng Tàu is roughly a rectangular island, around 15 km by 5 km, or about 10 by 3 miles. Along the side facing the East Vietnam Sea, there’s roughly 10 km of sandy beach and a lovely sea breeze. Locals say it’s too windy, but to us it was just a nice breeze. The Ibis is near the beginning of the new beach promenade. It’s good for jogging, long walks, cycling, and skating. The promenade is clean every day and well designed, with no strange surprises along the way. It’s a very good hotel and a nice place to get away from Ho Chi Minh city for a couple of days, enjoy the promenade and rooftop pool, and feel the sea breeze.

I’d planned a shorter visit, but liked the ibis Styles Vung Tau enough to extend my stay. The hotel is very clean throughout, from the lobby and rooms to the public areas, and everything looks well kept. The staff made a strong impression. Reception, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were professional, helpful, and efficient in every interaction. The management team was visible and ready to deal with questions promptly, which I really appreciated. I also enjoyed eating at the restaurant every day. There was a good variety, the food was excellent, and the prices were good. I’d recommend the ibis Styles Vung Tau to anyone visiting the area. It’s comfortable, clean, and well managed.

We booked four rooms and stayed for five nights at the Ibis Styles. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet had lots of delicious choices. A special thank you to Phuc, Dat, and Hieu at reception, as well as Thao in the breakfast restaurant. Their hospitality went above and beyond and made the stay memorable. Everyone else on the team was kind and helpful too. It felt like a home away from home, and I’ll choose this hotel again when I return to Vung Tau.
