Kim Minh Hotel Apartment

The staff were friendly and the location was great, but I left after just one night of a three night booking. The room smelled damp, like wet clothes left in a washer for a week, and the air conditioner only circulated that stale smell. There was smoking inside the hotel in the corridors outside the rooms, with overflowing ashtrays. The couch felt sticky and damp too. Linen and towels were dirty, and the bath mat had what looked like blood on it. The bed was comfortable, but it had a strange fleece blanket and no sheet, so I wasn't sure it was clean. Staff offered to move us, but I doubted another room would be better and checked out. They didn't offer a refund, and I didn't ask. I just wanted to get out.

The apartment was cleaned regularly, and the towels and toiletries were good quality. There was also a safe and a rooftop pool. The place was clean and comfortable, with some nice restaurants and Ned Kelly’s within walking distance. It's not far from front beach, and getting to the back beach doesn't cost much.

The rooms are really nice, and there are some good local bars nearby, including the walkers bar with a live band.

The location is ideal, though there are better options nearby. After we kept complaining about our first room, they moved us for the final two nights. Daily housekeeping was marginal and unsatisfactory, and the pool loungers could use an update.
