La Casa Hotel

There wasn’t anything to complain about. The place was clean and comfortable, everything worked, and the TV had Netflix. It’s between the two beaches, and there’s a great restaurant just 10 meters away for breakfast or dinner.

I’d stay here again. It’s an affordable, clean hotel, and they replaced the towels and toothbrushes every day. The TV had Netflix, and there’s a restaurant across the street. The pool is small. The one issue was the bathroom curtain, which smelled of cigarettes and had some mold because it gets wet. It didn’t bother me, though.

Traveling solo, I found LaCasa had about 90% of what I look for: a soft bed and good pillows, a kettle, a fridge that keeps things cold, a little balcony for mornings, and a dip pool on the roof.

The rooftop pool is small, but clean, and the city view is really good. The hotel is in a good location, and I’d come back for a short stay if I didn’t need to work. The place is very clean, among the cleanest I’ve stayed in Vietnam, and the staff are kind and helpful. It’s also very good value. The big issue for us was the WiFi. It was extremely slow and sometimes didn’t work at all, even though we paid extra for a room advertised with high-speed WiFi. We often had to work from the hotel, and video meetings wouldn’t work, so the service we specifically needed wasn’t there. For a quick holiday, the slow connection probably wouldn’t be such a big deal.
