Lam Kieu Hotel

There are lots of good restaurants nearby, including plenty of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The room itself was tiny, with barely enough space for two people to pass each other, and the toilet had cobwebs. There was no hairdryer or kettle, really nothing in the room. The blankets and mattresses were worn and old. I paid 700,000 VND for a weekend room with two beds, one 1.4m and the other 1.2m. That price felt completely unjustified. The room was very old and in terrible shape: the refrigerator couldn't be used, the TV was blurry and dated, the wardrobe door had fallen off, and the toilet door was broken. The shower was old with weak water pressure, and the toilet smelled musty.

It’s easy to get around from here since it’s close to the city center. I’ve stayed many times because the prices are very good and don’t go up on weekends. The service is good too, and the reception staff are lovely and enthusiastic.

I hope they’ll switch to a different shower gel scent. When I first complained about it, a staff member said that’s simply how it smells, and that the manager might consider changing it if a lot of guests complain.

My stay was okay, and the room was clean and quiet. There was no hot water, though, and you have to borrow a hairdryer or iron if you need one. I booked a large room, but it wasn’t much bigger than a regular one.
