Skool Plus Vung Tau

I stayed at Skool Plus Vung Tau twice, once through Agoda and once through Booking.com, and ran into the same problems both times. The hotel may look fine, but the way included services and extra charges were handled left me feeling that management was poor and dishonest. Transparency matters, and Skool Plus Vung Tau failed on that point on both visits. On each stay, my booking clearly included breakfast, yet staff repeatedly said it wasn't included and asked for 300,000 VND per person. The first time, we had just arrived after a long drive and didn't want an argument, so we paid despite having a confirmation showing breakfast was included. On the second visit, staff again said there was no breakfast and claimed they couldn't find our booking, even though it was confirmed and prepaid. After about 30 minutes of insisting and showing proof, they finally accepted that breakfast was included. Since this happened on two different booking platforms, it's hard to view it as a simple mistake. Why keep asking guests to pay for something they've already paid for? There was also an unexpected charge at checkout for a tiny fabric pouch that had held a disposable cotton swab. It was on the tray with the toothbrushes, disposable comb, and other amenities, so we threw it away or lost it, thinking it was disposable too. Staff said it cost 50,000 VND and shouldn't have been thrown away. There was no sign, label, or explanation saying it wasn't disposable, and charging that much without notice didn't seem reasonable or transparent. Future guests should double-check their booking details, keep screenshots, and be ready to insist on services they've already paid for.

The rooms were great and had a wonderful view, the food was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the pool was amazing. The hotel was perfect in every other way, but meals and poolside came with the exact same song on repeat, nonstop, 24/7. I couldn't avoid hearing it, and the thought of psychological torture crossed my mind.

The lounge and breakfast area is beautiful, and the food and drinks are great. We especially loved Jack the bartender, who was so helpful with information about the area and places to visit. The staff were accommodating and completely service oriented. I can't say enough about the hotel and its people.

The rooms were clean and nice, so we'd recommend the hotel. The beach wasn't especially nice, though, so we rented a scooter at the front desk and went to another beach in the city. The rooftop pool also has no sun cover.
