Service was very bad. They wouldn’t help with any food, not even instant noodles, though even a two-star hotel can do that. Be very careful with booking mistakes too, because they don’t apply any cancellation policy. I’ve been to Europe and all the Asian countries and have seen cancellation policies applied, but not here. The older man at reception was very conservative and offered no support with anything. He acted more like security or even a police officer than a receptionist. After checking in, I had to spend 30 minutes going out to buy food.

The rooms are basic, and there’s not much to say about them. There is a free pool on the ninth floor, though its opening hours seemed limited, maybe because of short staffing. Staff and security were nice and professional. The location makes it easy to reach most places you’d want to visit, and walking instead of driving can turn up hidden gems. Good experience overall.

The ninth-floor pool is in a good spot, shaded, with a nice view over the surrounding hills and sea. The hotel itself is a typical local place with basic amenities. I liked the soft mattress, but the queen or king bed is two mattresses joined together, and they can split apart with a little pressure from someone sitting or sleeping in the middle. Breakfast was disappointing, with worse selection and taste than I’ve had at cheaper hotels. The lobby had some air conditioning during the day, but the other areas and hallways didn’t, so they felt stuffy. The kids’ playroom had no ventilation, and I’m not sure who would let their children play in there.

I spent two nights here with the kids. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room facilities and food and drinks were okay for Vietnamese tastes. It’s at Bai Dau next to Quan The Am Bo Ta Pagoda, with a few coffee shops within walking distance. The hotel was good overall and reasonably priced. The swimming pool on the ninth floor is a little small.
