It's not the cheapest place, but the classic style and service make it worth the price. I first came here 20 years ago, and the same girl is still at reception. She looks just the same. The rooms are clean, in good condition, and serviced without fuss. Laundry is fast and reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet is huge, enough that you really don't need to eat again until dinner.

The location right on Front Beach makes it convenient for visiting popular spots in Vung Tau, with good, reasonably priced restaurants nearby that are better than those at Back Beach. Swimming there may not always be ideal, depending on the time. Palace Hotel Vung Tau is a well-known, long-established place, and despite its age, it's in good condition. It has plenty of facilities, clean rooms, and equipment that's a bit old but still works fine. The breakfast buffet has quite a range, though it leans toward Western/European dishes. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the price is reasonable compared with other 4-star hotels.

The staff were incredible, friendly, helpful, and spoke or understood English. They upgraded my room and let me check in early and check out late. I stayed one night at the palace hotel this past weekend. The swimming pool was refreshing and was being used by many families. There was lots of variety at the morning buffet breakfast, with both brewed coffee and Vietnamese coffee, which was very nice. It was a great price and good value, especially with the main beach and many stores and restaurants within walking distance.

There's a shop selling fresh seafood across the block. Halal food is also nearby, less than 500 meters away.

We didn't try the food, so I can't rate that. The Palace Hotel has a great location, and our room was spacious and clean. Staff were very helpful. The pool was clean and quite warm, which seems normal in Vietnam, though it could use a little more shade. We really enjoyed our stay.
