The beach is about a five-minute drive away. This is a clean, decent guesthouse, though it isn’t fully equipped like a hotel, so set your expectations accordingly. Rooms have A/C, fans, hot water, wardrobes, mini-fridges, and some have balconies. There aren’t bedside tables or power outlets, though. The beds are large with wide mattresses, but the beds creak quite a bit, so keep your voices down. I don’t know the weekday rate. For April 30-May 1, I booked through Booking.com and paid 715k VND per day. The owners are an older couple and usually close the gate at 10 pm when they go to bed. If you arrive late, ring the bell or call. Shoes stay outside, although guests with expensive shoes can take them up to their rooms. I didn’t pay ahead when I booked, so the owner called several times to confirm and was impatient until I paid a 1 million VND deposit. I can understand that, since a no-show would cost them money. One heads-up for the trip back from the beach: near the U-turn by the guesthouse, there’s a small convenience store on the right side of the road. They sold me two coconuts for 60,000 VND, then poured one coconut into two glasses and added water. It felt like a scam and was so frustrating. I couldn’t find the store on maps to leave a review.
