Phuc Lam Hotel

The lake view was stunning, and the room was so spacious and beautiful that it surprised me. I rented it by the hour to sleep and rest before continuing my trip. The first hour cost 150k VND, with each hour after that at 70k VND.

I rented rooms 601 and 401, and I'd give the hotel 7/10. The rooms were clean and roomy, with airy balconies, and it's close to the beach. Reception staff were friendly. The extra mattress was extremely hard, almost like sleeping on the floor. The bathroom door in room 601 wouldn't shut, and the security guard was very unpleasant to guests.

I've come back many times. Whenever I visit Vung Tau, I always choose Phuc Lam. The service and receptionist both get 10/10. Excellent.

⭐ 1/5. I'm extremely disappointed with Phuc Lam Hotel Vung Tau. I paid the full room rate on December 12, 2025 for a valid Traveloka reservation from December 31, 2025 to January 1, 2026. Since it was the year-end peak season, I booked early to keep my plans secure. The very next day, December 13, 2025, I was told the hotel was fully booked and couldn't accommodate me, so the reservation was canceled even though payment had been received. That's unacceptable. This overbooking suggests the hotel can't manage room availability and is passing the risk to customers. It badly affected my plans during the holidays, when other rooms are hard to find and rates are high. Phuc Lam Hotel accepted the booking and payment without guaranteeing a room, then canceled at the last minute without offering an equivalent alternative. It caused inconvenience, anxiety, and wasted time. Based on this, people should reconsider booking at Phuc Lam Hotel, especially during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year). The hotel needs to review how it manages rooms and its responsibility to customers who have already paid.
