The staff were exceptionally kind and quick to help with questions or room problems. The hotel takes cash only, and there aren't any ATMs close by right now, though mini-marts, laundry, and other services are nearby. Our room was clean and had the basics we needed: a mini-fridge, coffee pot, daily bottled water, TV with streaming, and strong Wi-Fi. The bathroom had good water pressure and temperature control, plus a shower with three spray settings. The A/C worked well, and there was a circulating fan. The beach is a four-minute walk. Weekdays were generally quiet, but nearby bars and a soccer field made weekends pretty noisy, usually until around 10:00 PM. I often used my noise-cancelling headset on those nights. It's a very good budget option.

The family running Sen Vang hotel know their work well. They had lived in Europe and America, and were very friendly. My room was cleaned every day, and everything was very clean. For a two-star place, it felt like a real European two-star hotel. I stayed one week in Vung Tau. The price wasn't high, around 200,000-250,000D on weekdays, with weekends a bit more. I've stayed in many hotels across Vietnam, from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, and about 90% of the two-star places I've seen were dirty, whatever they called themselves. This one wasn't.
