Thien Thanh Hotel

The owner is warm and helpful. Whenever something came up, I could just tell her and she'd help us out. The hotel is lovely and very fairly priced. I've stayed here twice now and will come back whenever I'm in Vung Tau.

I could hear every word from the next room, so sleeping was impossible. I booked through Booking.com, but when I arrived the owner asked me to cancel so the hotel could avoid the app fee. I'd also asked about parking and was told it was available, then sent to a lot where I had to pay myself. At checkout, the owner gave evasive excuses when I brought it up. The parking was only a few tens of thousands of dong, but this kind of conduct won't keep a hotel going for long.

The room wasn't clean or properly equipped, which made the rest of this even more frustrating. I'd arranged to stay until 2 PM and paid another 50k, but I got back late and tired and slept until 4. At 4:40, while I was packing, the landlady turned off the air conditioner. When I went down to check out and pay for three extra hours through 5 PM, she said she was going to exercise and had switched it off so we'd come downstairs. I was stunned. What if I'd wanted to stay longer? I'd already said from the start that I'd pay for extra time. It really felt like she was pushing us out early just because she wanted to go exercise. 🥶🥶

Thanh, the owner, and the staff were all kind and very enthusiastic. The beach is close by, and the rate was lower than at nearby hotels. My family stayed in rooms 301, 302 and 304 for three days and were very happy with it. We'll come back and support them again.
