The pools were beautiful and immaculate, and the landscaping made for a relaxing setting. We also appreciated the well-designed two-bedroom ocean-view apartment, especially with small children. It had a fridge, microwave, dishes, bowls, and utensils. The staff, from reception and waiters to janitors and lifeguards, were attentive, warm, and genuinely helpful. The food was delicious across lunch, dinner, and desserts, though expensive, and the buffet selection was somewhat limited. There were quite a lot of ants in the kitchen, which bothered us even though we hardly used it. The kids’ room costs 50,000 VND per hour. This is the first five-star resort we’ve stayed at that charged for it, and we feel it should be complimentary for guests. Strong winds made the balcony door by the jacuzzi very noisy at night and disturbed our sleep. Maia spa is expensive and offers no discount to hotel guests, while we usually get a 20% discount at other 5* resorts. The lobby has a lovely ocean view, but didn’t feel impressive for a five-star resort. Holiday Inn and InterContinental nearby have much more striking, welcoming lobbies. The in-room jacuzzi was too cold to use, gets little sun, has no hot water option, and has no nice view. Construction next door for Ixora 2 made the outdoor areas dusty. There’s no sandy beach at the resort, so we had to walk about 10 minutes or ask for a hotel car to reach the beach at The Grand InterContinental. One room’s window view is half blocked by a wall, something that should have been considered in the original design. We didn’t stay in a villa, but their design doesn’t seem very private, especially around the pool, compared with some other 5* resorts we’ve visited.

The grounds and buildings are beautiful, and the restaurant food and drinks were tasty. It’s a very peaceful spot, and the courteous staff made it a lovely couple of days away. There isn’t much around. The casino complex has plenty to do, but it’s expensive, and you need a Grab to get to nearby towns. Everywhere is very quiet, with little tourism. We found some ants in the room, but the staff dealt with them. Harmless, just annoying.

We came to relax and definitely did. The area is beautiful, calm, and clean, and our room with a private pool was a lovely treat. The rooms are very comfortable, and all the staff greet you with a smile. The atmosphere is friendly throughout, with amazing service. Breakfast has lots of options, and the food is great. It’s also nice to have access to the neighboring hotels if you want more places to eat. Special thanks to Jack (assistant F&B manager) for the great service, advice, and chats. We hope we can come back!

I don’t usually write hotel reviews, but I wanted to mention the service here. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and was professional, and they speak decent English. Room cleaning was quick, with three cleaning staff. The room was clean and modern, the bed comfortable, and the towels bigger than standard. Furnishings and power plugs were from good brands. The shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and toothbrush were good quality. The buffet had a great spread: bacon, an egg station, daily noodle soup, bread with jam and butter, waffles, salads, fried noodles, dim sum, and more. Kids get one free hour at the Ixora indoor playground. Food prices there are exorbitant, though. With the affordable room price, I’d come back to chill at the hotel.

The breakfast was delicious, and being able to use the swimming pool shared with the InterContinental was a big plus. Ixora has limited facilities of its own, but the frequent buggy service and shuttle to The Grand Ho Tram made getting around convenient. The staff gave sincere, proactive help when I ran into an issue with Agoda, and it made a real difference. I had a great stay at Ixora Ho Tram and would definitely like to visit again.
